LEWA's injection packaging system is specially designed for the upstream production in the refinery industry and for the exploitation, drilling of oil and natural gas used by world renowned energy companies. Because each incidence of machinery breakdown and plant downtime plus the subsequent adverse affect of production reduction pose a direct risk for the customers, LEWA's injection packaging system is designed with the factor of minimizing machinery maintenance requirement as the top priority and "twenty years maximum" machine life time as a design goal.
The application of LEWA injection packages includes the following:
- Chemical Injection Packages
- Methanol Injection Packages
- CO2 Re-Injection Packages
- Glycol Injection Packages
- Injection of Corrosion Inhibitors
- LNG
- Sour Gas Treatment
- Demulsifiers
- Separators
- Flocculants

Glycol Injection: High pressure glycol injection package G3G model pump. On common skid, complete with resonator and monitoring equipment.

Methanol Injection: Safe high pressure injection into oil and gas wells by LEWA quintuplex process diaphragm pump, model EG5 offshore skid (FPSO). Pump flow rate 8.8 m³/hr at 345 bar.

Corrosion Inhibitor Injection: Compact offshore skid with rectangular 316L tank. Diaphragm type, include stand by pump. Explosion proof instrumentation and local control panel suit for zone 1.

Chemical Injection: Compact offshore skid with rectangular multi-compartment tank for different fluid. Each compartment with a standalone diaphgram pump and a stand by pump. Explosion proof instrumentation and junction boxes at skid edge suited for zone 1.

Metering and Mixing Systems |
Tailor-made metering packages are completely provided from one source, including full engineering and individual plant controls, process display, recording of operating data or external interface to process guidance systems. The design also observes the requirements of ATEX, DGRL (PED), VbF, WHG. LEWA metering systems consist of pump, adjusting element and controller are used for a wide variety of metering applications.
LEWA metering systems are modular combinations of a pump plus an adjusting element, flowmeter (volume- or mass-flow), and controller. The metered flow is controlled by a closed control loop. LEWA has developed the smart FIS DIALOG controller which solves the control tasks inherent in metering systems and has a wide application range.

Application Specific Metering Packages |

LEWA metering and mixing packages serve process automation and are specially engineered and built to satisfy specific customer requirements. LEWA supplies a complete, turn-key, problem solution for the corresponding application. With individual plant control, recording and display of operating data are processed via external interfaces to the process guidance system.
Typical process steps:
Storing, agitating, suspending, heating, cooling, metering, conveying, continuous mixing.
Typical examples:
Packages for the production of personal care items, detergents, sweets, paper, latex, paints, packages for resin mixing, acid dilution, water and boiler feed water treatment, skid mounted metering packages used for crude oil and natural gas production and processing.
The metering of blowing agent is of particular importance to guarantee the constant quality of the end product in extrusion processes. LEWA ecofoam is a system for the metering of blowing agent, e.g. CO2, propane, butane, halogenated hydrocarbons and pentane into the plastic melt of an extrusion process.
Components of LEWA ecofoam:
- LEWA diaphragm metering pump (LEWA ecoflow)
- Suction side strainer
- 2 contact pressure gauges for pressure monitoring in the suction and discharge pipeline
- Saftey valve to protect the metering system from overpressure
- Mass flow meter
- Control cabinet
- CO2 applications:
- Heat exchanger in the suction pipeline for cooling of the CO2 before pump inlet
- Cooling jacket on each pump head
- Compact chiller for supply of the cooling medium incl. cooling circuit
Performance overview: Pressure 50 bar to 500 bar. Flow rate 0,5 kg/h to 250 kg/h.
LEWA FIS-DIALOG micro-controller characteristics:
- High accuracy and monitoring.
- Flowrates can be adjusted via stroke length and stroke frequency.
- Closed loop control system can be integrated and work with an auxiliary sensors for monintoring output flowrate data.
- Clear and simple data display makes operating the controller system easy.
- The software allows programming of the pump charateristics with its permissible error gap width and the control range required by entering a few parameters.
- Signals recognition.
- Prompt adjustment for flow and volumetric control.
- Controller does not require special training to operate.
